TAYLOR SWIFT DELIGHTS SOLD OUT CROWD OF 12,000 FANS AT THE FRANK ERWIN CENTER!
AUSTIN, Texas – Country superstar Taylor Swift had the sold out crowd of 12,000 screaming fans at the Frank Erwin Center Oct. 26 singing and dancing along to songs from her hit album, “Speak Now.” Swift started the show by singing “Sparks Fly,” and literally had sparks flying as aerialists descended from above the stage. The rest of the show was just as impressive, and featured a surprise guest appearance by Texas musician Shawn Colvin.
Swift was recently chosen to receive Billboard’s Woman of the Year award at this year’s Billboard Women in Music event in December, making her the youngest artist ever to receive this honor. The singer has also been nominated for five 2011 Country Music Awards, including Music Video of the Year and Song of the Year for “Mean,” Album of the Year for “Speak Now,” Female Vocalist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year.
Other 2011 sellouts include: George Strait and Reba with special guest Lee Ann Womack (Jan. 14), The Monster Ball Tour starring Lady Gaga with special guest Semi Precious Weapons (April 6), Davis Cup by BNP Paribas (July 8-10), Katy Perry “California Dreams Tour” with special guest Robyn (July 30) and Fire Relief: The Concert for Central Texas (Oct. 17).
