Austin, TEXAS – A Star Wars Stormtrooper from the 501^st Legion’s Star Garrison will throw the first pitch at the University of Texas baseball game on Tuesday, May 4. The first pitch will be thrown at approximately 6 p.m. at UFCU Disch-Falk Field (1300 E. MLK Blvd.). The Stormtrooper will take pictures with fans after he throws the pitch.

This appearance is in celebration of the Star Wars unofficial holiday “May the Fourth Be With You” and also promotes Star Wars^™: In Concert, a unique multi-media event that will be at the Frank Erwin Center on June 6. Star Wars™: In Concert features music from all six of John Williams’ epic Star Wars scores accompanied by specifically edited footage from the films displayed on a three-story-tall, high definition LED super-screen.

About the 501^st Legion
The 501^st Legion is an all-volunteer organization formed for the express purpose of bringing together costume enthusiasts under a collective identity to promote interest in Star Wars through the building and wearing of quality costumes, and to contribute to the community for the benefit of the children. Whether it is visiting local children’s hospitals, participating in benefits that support children, or just having fun at conventions, their desire is to bring the joy of the Star Wars universe we had growing up to the children of this generation.
