AUSTIN, TEXAS – After more than 14 years away from the Live Music Capitol of the World, Rush took the Frank Erwin Center stage and wowed a sold out crowd of 7836. The band played 2 long sets showing why they have been receiving rave reviews throughout their Snakes and Arrows tour and selling out arenas night after night.

Thanks to the support of the Austin community, this is the sixth sold out show at the Frank Erwin Center this year. Other 2008 sellouts at the Erwin Center include George Strait with special guest Little Big Town and introducing Sarah Johns (1/10/08), Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus “Best of Both Worlds Tour” with special guest Aly & AJ (1/24/08), WWE’s “Monday Night Raw” (2/4/08), Michael Buble (2/28/08) and Casting Crowns with special guest Leeland and introducing John Waller (4/4/08).

Since 1977, the Frank Erwin Center has served Central Texans with some of the best in live entertainment. The multi-purpose facility located on The University of Texas at Austin campus, hosts a variety of events including concerts, theatrical performances, family shows and sporting events. It is also serves as the home court for the Texas men’s and women’s basketball teams.
