CEDRIC THE ENTERTAINER TO PERFORM AT
THE THEATRE AT THE FRANK ERWIN CENTER

AUSTIN, TEXAS – Cedric the Entertainer, one of the “Original Kings of Comedy” will bring his fresh and witty outlook on everyday life to The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center on Friday, September 7 at 8 p.m.
 
The popular comedian debuted on television in 1992 and has appeared on shows which include “The Tonight Show,” “The Chris Rock Show,” “Hollywood Squares” and “Politically Incorrect.” He has also appeared in several movies, including Big Momma's House, Serving Sara, Barbershop and he lent his voice to Carl the Rhino in the animated motion picture Ice Age.
 
Most recently, fans have been able to catch Cedric the Entertainer on HBO in his first solo standup comedy special, “Taking You Higher,” which was recently nominated for Outstanding Variety – Series or Special by the NAACP Image Awards.
