DIXIE CHICKS AT THE FRANK ERWIN CENTER THIS MONDAY!

AUSTIN, Texas – Get ready to hear the Texas-bred sounds of fiddle, banjo and crystal-clear vocal harmonies when the Dixie Chicks finally make it back to their hometown of Austin, performing at the Frank Erwin Center this Monday, December 4. This is the “Accidents and Accusations” tour’s second to last stop so don’t miss out!
According to the Hollywood Report’s review of the packed concert at New York’s Madison Square Garden, the Chicks -- Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire and Emily Robison -- worked their way through a catalog that has resulted in the sale of some 30 million albums. Beginning with the stirring new "Lubbock or Leave It" and closing with the inspiring, gospel-tinged
"I Hope," they provided ample demonstration of their strong instrumental prowess and beautiful vocal harmonies.
The famed cowgirl trio was formed in 1989 by sisters Maguire and Robison, who started out as backup singers in the band. In 1995, when Natalie Maines replaced the lead singer, she brought a new and very distinctive sound. The Dixie Chick’s future was forever altered, and multiple albums soon sky-rocketed, shooting straight to the top of the country and pop charts. Recognized by the Grammy Awards, the Dixie Chicks were awarded country album honors for Wide Open Spaces, Fly and 2002's acoustic Home. Taking the Long Way is the latest and most controversial album for the Chicks and has been touted as semi-autobiographical—a way for the girls to respond to their critics.
Tickets for the Dixie Chicks with special guest Pete Yorn at the Frank Erwin Center this Monday, December 4 at 7:30PM are $49.50 and $65 and are ON SALE NOW at all Texas Box Office Outlets (includes Central Market and
