World Combat League Fighters Strip Down
for Weigh-in Before They Suit Up

AUSTIN, Texas – Before the fighters of the World Combat League can face their competitors in the ring at the Frank Erwin Center on September 22, they must face those that have the power to keep them from fighting in the first place – the doctor and the boxing commissioner. Come out to the Frank Erwin Center’s Lone Star Room on Thursday, September 21 at 2 p.m. and watch – along with Chuck Norris – these fighters contend for their spot on the fight card! The weigh-in is open to the public.

For every professional fighting event held in Texas, leagues are required to have their fighters judged by these professionals to determine if they are fit and in the appropriate weight division that they are scheduled to fight in. These fighters, in an attempt to make their weight class, often don’t eat all day, and can be found jogging around the arena before their turn comes as a last-ditch effort to burn a few pounds.
 
If you would like to attend the weigh-in for the World Combat League, you can park in Lot 108 (located on the south side of the Erwin Center, across the street from Brackenridge Hospital) and enter through the Red River Street level doors. The Lone Star Room is located just down the first set of steps to your right.
 
On Friday, September 22 at 8 p.m. Chuck Norris will present the full throttle action of the World Combat League’s West Coast Playoffs. The World Combat League is the only extreme stand-up, full-contact team Combat Martial Arts league in the country.
