RASCAL FLATTS SCHEDULED TO ROCK THE ERWIN CENTER STAGE!
TICKETS ON SALE SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 9 AT 10 A.M.!

AUSTIN, Texas - America’s favorite country stars, Grammy-winning trio Rascal Flatts, will rock the Frank Erwin Center on Thursday, October 26 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale beginning Saturday, September 9 at 10 a.m.! Gary Allan and Eric Church are the opening acts for the tour.

Cousins Gary LeVox (lead vocalist) and Jay DeMarcus (bassist), along with Joe Don Rooney (electric guitarist) released their first album in 2000, the self-titled Rascal Flatts. The record shot straight to No. 3 on the Billboard country album chart. By Nashville standards Rascal Flatts’ success was instantaneous. However, DeMarcus had been working the scene since 1995 and even did a stint with a Christian band known as East to West. He convinced LeVox to leave their hometown of Columbus, Ohio in 1997 to join him in pursuing their dreams of country rock stardom. Soon after, DeMarcus discovered the talented Joe Don Rooney, and together they knew they had something special.
 
According to CMT.com, Rascal Flatts are now the top-selling artist of 2006. Their newest album, Me and My Gang, has reached double-platinum status for shipments of 2 million copies. They have now totaled 11 million units in sales, and their current tour is expected to reach 900,000 people before it wraps in November. Gary Allan, known as the “surfing cowboy,” will be appearing as a special guest on the tour. He has had three No. 1 singles on the Billboard country charts. Eric Church, who is also a special guest on the tour, is a recent newcomer to Nashville. His first major-label record, Sinners Like Me, debuted at No. 7 in August of this year on the Billboard country albums chart. His music – all original, which is a huge feat for a record-label newbie – has been praised by The New York Times, People magazine, USA Today and Fox & Friends.
