THE BLACK WATCH AND THE BAND OF THE WELSH GUARDS AT THE FRANK ERWIN CENTER

The Black Watch has served the British Army all over the world.  This fully operational Battalion has seen many battles and wars including the Battle of Fontenoy, the Revolutionary War, the Napoleonic Wars, the Crimean War, WWI, WWII and the Korean War.  Not only are they formidable soldiers, they are also talented musicians and dancers.  This historical Highland Regiment will march into the Frank Erwin Center February 24 to bring the sights and sounds of Great Britain to Austin. Tickets go on sale December 12 at Noon.    
 
The Band of the Welsh Guards is probably best known for their ceremony of Changing The Guard at Buckingham Palace, though they perform frequently with many of the world’s finest orchestras.  The Band is comprised of 44 musicians and a bandmaster, and has brought the pomp and pageantry of British life to all corners of the world.
