SOLD OUT!

AUSTIN, TEXAS – Consider yourself lucky if you got to see Kelly Clarkson at The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center last Thursday – it was a SOLD OUT concert! The diminutive singer packed the venue to the rafters, giving over 6,100 adoring fans her all. The highly anticipated concert by American Idol’s first winner (and Texas native) showcased songs from Clarkson’s sophomore album, Breakaway and also included favorites from her first album, Thankful.

It is no wonder that Kelly is a breakaway success. Not only has her sophomore album reached double-platinum status, but Clarkson is the top-selling female artist of the year to date, with three hit singles on Billboard, a GOT MILK? ad and a cover story in Texas Monthly.

Since 1977, the Frank Erwin Center has served Central Texans with some of the best in live entertainment. The multi-purpose facility located on The University of Texas at Austin campus, hosts a variety of events including concerts, family shows and sporting events. It is also serves as the home court for the Longhorn Men’s and Women’s basketball teams.
