FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

“DIMINUTIVE DIVA, DOLLY PARTON, TAKES HER ACT TO THE THEATRE AT THE FRANK ERWIN CENTER”

Tickets Go On Sale Saturday, October 30 at 10AM

AUSTIN, TEXAS – Small in stature, but big on talent, Dolly Parton brings her “Hello, I’m Dolly” tour to Austin in December. Dolly has an extensive songbook and will sing songs from every era of her four decades long career including the hits “I Will Always Love You,” “9 to 5,” “Coat of Many Colors,” “Islands in the Stream,” and “Jolene.” The “Hello, I’m Dolly” tour is the most extensive tour for Dolly in 20 years.

According to Dolly, “In 2002, I went on a tour for three months to promote Halos and Horns. I realized how much I missed the road and how much the fans seemed to miss me. It was just magical. I saw that I had some fans about all areas of my career, all the way back through the years…some liked country, some liked pop, some liked the big production, some loved the bluegrass and the more simple sound. So I decided to combine all the things I’ve done through the years.”

Fans will even get to hear some new material from her forthcoming album, Blue Smoke. Throughout the years, Dolly has flourished doing music, television, film, and even producing. She’s been nominated for Grammy’s, Billboard Awards, CMAs, American Music Awards, and starred in movies like Steel Magnolias, Straight Talk, and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.

Although Dolly is a superstar, she has never been afraid to poke fun at her own image resulting in some memorable quotes including, “It takes a lot of money to make a person look this cheap,” and “I like to buy clothes that are two sizes too small and then take them in a little.” It is this kind of humor that has endeared her to fans over the years. Dolly also has her own amusement park, Dollywood.

The Grascals, a band of accomplished Nashville musicians, will open for Dolly. Band members include Terry Eldredge, Jimmy Mattingly, David Talbot, Jamie Johnson, Danny Roberts and Terry Smith.

Tickets for Dolly Parton with special guest The Grascals at The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center Thursday, December 2 at 8PM are $34, $44 and $54VIP and GO ON SALE Saturday, October 30 at 10AM at all Texas Box Office Outlets (includes H-E-B stores in Austin, Bastrop, Bee Caves, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Round Rock, and San Marcos; Ft.
