(Austin, TX)- Ernest Hemingway once said, “The circus is the only ageless delight that you can buy for money. Everything else is supposed to be bad for you. But the circus is good for you. It is the only spectacle I know that while you watch it gives the quality of a truly happy dream.” The circus has become a part of popular culture that continues to delight both young and old. Coming to the Frank Erwin Center Friday, October 10 through Sunday, October 12, is the Ben Hur Shrine Circus. Tickets go on sale Friday, September 12 at Noon!
The Ben Hur Shrine Circus, produced by Hamid Circus, Inc., which has been producing Shrine Circus throughout the country for over 70 years, brings to Austin the magic and awe of daring acts, highly skilled performers, and amazing animals. This year’s circus includes: The Rolling Darr, who juggles and balances on a fast-moving unicycle, Ringmaster Timothy Tegge, the Jacob Barreda elephants, gown-wearing poodles, the acrobatic and comic Nino, tigers, a lion, and much more.
