SUNDAY NIGHT'S GEORGE STRAIT CONCERT RESULTS IN 1ST SOLD OUT SHOW OF 2003 FOR ERWIN CENTER

(Austin, TX)- Sunday night, January 19, George Strait and special guest Tammy Cochran performed their country tunes to a sold out crowd of approximately 16,000. This was Strait's first concert visit to Austin in seven years. Strait performed songs, In The Round, from his latest album Road Less Traveled as well as many of his classics and crowd favorites. This was the Erwin Center's first concert of 2003.
Since 1977, the Frank Erwin Center has served Central Texans with some of the best in live entertainment. The multi-purpose facility located on The University of Texas at Austin campus, hosts a variety of events including concerts, family shows and sporting events. It is also the "home court" for both Men's & Women's Longhorn basketball teams.
