General Information General Admission Information
1) The Erwin Center is part of The University of Texas. There is no overnight camping allowed on University property. The property across the street is also University property. 2) The G.A. line will begin on Friday, September 3rd at 8:00AM. The line will begin at the spot that will be designated by a sign on the wall. Ushers will be outside to assist in the lineup. The line will run up the north side of the building and then up the ramp. 3) The large lot just south of us between The Erwin Center and Brackenridge Hospital will be available to park in. You will be towed if you park in the small lot between The Erwin Center and Hargis Hall just north of the building. There are very few parking spaces on the street. There is a pay parking garage just to the northwest of The Erwin Center. The rate is $7.00 all day. There are also several state parking garages to the west of the building that are open to the public, AFTER 5:30PM for a $5.00 fee. Please be aware that these are state run garages and have no affiliation with The Erwin Center. They may have certain rules to be followed and the rate may even be different than the previously stated $5.00. 4) When you arrive, an Erwin Center usher will introduce themselves to you. This usher will be your assistant until you enter the building. They will have a black marker and will write your place in line on the back of your hand. 5) OBVIOUSLY, THERE IS NO SAVING OF SPOTS IN LINE. 7) Entrance to the building will only be through the Red River doors. 8) Periodically, we may have our in house concession go through the line selling sodas and water and possibly some snacks. Or, you can bring up your own refreshments as long as you take them back to your vehicle by the time doors open. 9) Bring up whatever to make the day go smoother while you’re in line, but if it’s a hindrance to other people in line (boom boxes, chaise lounges, dancing bears, etc.), it’ll have to leave. No backpacks, knapsacks or oversized bags will be allowed in the building upon doors opening. If you brought a vehicle, we’ll begin allowing people the chance to take items back at about 5:00PM. If you walked up with your boom box and dancing bear, call a friend and have them pick them up by 5:30PM. 10) When we band you, we will mark the back of your ticket and we’ll check for the correct ticket stock. 11) Aggressive behavior will not be tolerated in line at any point. Alcohol is not permitted. 12) When we open the doors, your assistant will walk your group of about 100 fans to the doors where you will be wanded and then allowed down to the floor. We will take our time with this procedure. Safety at this point is of the utmost importance to us. 13) In order to move the line as quickly as possible, we encourage you to leave items such as purses in your vehicle. It only saves everyone time as ALL purses will be checked. There is no storage available for backpacks and knapsacks. 14) Items not allowed in The Erwin Center include cameras of any kind, video cameras, electronic equipment cases, backpacks, knapsacks, weapons, noisemakers, fireworks, tripods, alcohol, coolers, cans, bottles, wineskins, food, beverages of any kind whether they were bought here or not, laser pointers and dancing bears. 15) Finally, be patient and most importantly, have fun.
