Carrie Underwood
The Carnival Ride of a Lifetime

Country music superstar Carrie Underwood is bringing her “Carnival Ride Tour” this October to The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center! Underwood’s energetic performance will be complemented by special guest Little Big Town, as both will take center stage for a night of incredible singing and pure enjoyment. Country fans, this is a show you don’t want to miss!
The mega-talent of Carrie Underwood was first recognized when she won the fourth season of the popular show, “American Idol.” This initial achievement soon blossomed into a full blown music career when her first album, Some Hearts, went multi-platinum. Undaunted by the pressure of immediate stardom and success, Underwood released her second album, Carnival Ride, in 2007 and it quickly raced to the top of the Billboard 200 chart. The success of her albums has earned Underwood three Grammy awards along with a devoted fan base that has truly fallen for the country sweetheart.
Carrie Underwood’s “Carnival Ride Tour” will not disappoint fans who are anxiously awaiting a show’s worth of number one hit songs. The songs “Wasted,” “All-American Girl,” “So Small,” “Jesus Take the Wheel,” “Last Name,” and “Before He Cheats” are some of the many hits Underwood will pull from to create an enchanting performance. A touring veteran, Underwood performed over 150 shows on tour with Kenny Chesney and Brad Paisley in 2006, in addition to headlining her own dates. She wrapped up the year headlining a USO Tour during the Christmas season and performed for U.S. troops in Kuwait and Iraq. Underwood’s unassuming demeanor and friendly interaction with the crowd brings a very personal aspect to her concerts and heightens the experience.
Aside from a mesmerizing performance by Carrie Underwood, the “Carnival Ride Tour” also boasts an impressive opening act in the dynamic quartet of Little Big Town. The perfectly matched harmonies of Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook and Phillip Sweet intertwine gracefully around their engaging lyrics. The band released their third album last year, A Place to Land, which features their hit song “I’m with the Band.” Their down-home attitude, highlighted in their song “Boondocks” mixes easily with their love-infused song “Give Me a Little More You” to provide a well-balanced performance. The soothing harmonies of Little Big Town combined with their instrumental talent will provide an excellent opener for Carrie Underwood fans.
The “Carnival Ride Tour” promises to be a truly memorable concert in a city known for its live music! The stunning vocals of Carrie Underwood will have the entire arena singing along and chanting for more on October 31. Don’t miss the chance to buy your tickets for the carnival ride of a lifetime!
