Wranglers Make Playoffs for Second Time in Team History


The Austin Wranglers wrapped up their 2008 regular season July 26th and enter the month of August playoff bound. After finishing the 2007 season 4-12, the Wranglers, led by Head Coach Ben Bennett, have secured a spot in the post season with an 8-8 record in 2008. The first round of the af2 playoffs begins the first weekend in August, with the Wranglers scheduled to play on the road Saturday, August 2nd at 9:00 p.m. against the Spokane Shock. Since being named the starting quarterback three games into the season, Andy Hall has emerged as one of the league’s premier players. Hall has ranked in the top ten amongst other quarterbacks throughout the season and has led the Wranglers to their 2nd playoff berth in team history. Proven to be one of the league’s best, wide receiver John Roberson leads the af2 in all receiving categories and has earned several game performance awards. Hall and Roberson look to lead the Wranglers into the post season with their eyes on a championship title.
