Blue October

Burn Bright With Blue October

Blue October Art

It’s time to burn bright with Blue October at their “Sorry Boy Burns Bright” tour on November 17 at 6:50 p.m. at The Theater at the Frank Erwin Center. Also accompanying this alternative rock band on stage will be special guests Yellowcard, Shiny Toy Guns and Lovedrug! Wow, what a night of good music and great times…make sure you join in the fun!

Blue October’s music is known as real and edgy, which is what attracts most of their fan base. The lead vocalist Justin Furstenfeld likes to reflect on true experiences that touched him to the core. What they write is powerful and factual which helps the fans relate to them on a more personal level. Wouldn’t you like to be connected to your favorite star? That is their goal and they sure do succeed!

This Houston based five–some has been together since 1996 and has finally created an album that they have fallen in love with themselves. Their most recent album, Foiled, tries to connect with a more diverse crowd who appreciates reality and feelings in music. Foiled was certified platinum in the US and Canada in February of this year by the RIAA, buoyed by the hits, “Hate Me,” which hovered for more than six months in the Modern Rock Top 10, and, “Into The Ocean” which reached #1 on VH-1.

Foiled For The Last Time, which hit stores on September 25, is a two-disc set consisting of the full version of the Foiled album; 14 newly recorded songs performed live earlier this year during the band’s “Teach Your Baby Well” tour; exclusive remixes by legendary DJ/Composer Paul Oakenfold (U2, Moby, New Order) and Grammy nominated producer/remixer/musician Carmen Rizzo (Coldplay, Pete Townshend); a remix of fan favorite, “Calling You”; and, a live version of “Angel,” are among the bonus offerings, as well as links to exclusive video content and never-before-seen footage of the band.

Blue October also has a special relationship with our very own Austin, Texas. They recorded their sold-out performance at Stubb’s BBQ! The band loves Austin’s laid back culture and wanted to return as soon as possible. They stated that they felt the energy here and appreciate their fans more than anything. Well, lucky us, they are finally coming back to Austin on November 17!!

After already having shows all over the United States and being on the road, they will be completing their tour in Austin, TX! They saved the best city for last and will definitely be showing their enthusiasm on stage. So, let’s show them our support and enjoy one of the best alternative rock concerts you will ever witness! Mark down your calendars for November 17 to see Blue October rock the stage at the The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center. Purchase tickets now before they sell out and get ready for a jumping- and- screaming- good -time!
