Yes! The Holiday season is quickly approaching. Your to-do list includes stuffing your face with Holiday turkey, buying gifts for the family, and of course, stopping by the Frank Erwin Center to get a crazy with everyone’s favorite Blue Men! That’s right! The Blue Man Group will be making their way into the Frank Erwin Center once again on December 1 as a part of their How to Be a Megastar 2.1 Tour!

The Blue Man Group is a creative organization founded by Phil Stanton, Chris Wink and Matt Goldman in the early 1980’s. Their productions are filled with fun and are always hectic! The Blue Man Group will have you on the edge of your seat and engaged the entire time. Their theatrical acts include rock music (with a heavy emphasis on percussion, odd props, audience participation and sophisticated lighting . The shows are family-oriented, humorous and energetic and often employ thought-provoking satire on modern life. With eclectic and absolutely dynamic live shows where paint and confetti fly everywhere, listeners can’t help but take in the spectacle and walk away with extreme energy after the show.

The How to Be a Megastar 2.1 Tour has been a big hit around the US and we are thrilled that it is making its way into Austin! The vigorous rock show takes the audience through a humorous “workshop” on how to create “the perfect rock concert experience.” While doing so, they commemorate, gouge and otherwise deconstruct rock stardom in all of its egotistical glory. Expanding on the “Rock Concert Manual” concept from the groups previous “The Complex Rock Tour”, this time around the Blue Men download a new “how-to manual” that takes the audience through a distinctively witty and interactive show that guarantees to deliver mesmerizing amusement for all ages.

Everybody’s lips have been flapping about the amazement and high expectations of this year’s tour. Executive Tour Producer Paul J. Emery, III of Emery Entertainment, stated, “The fan response to the Megastar event has been outstanding across the country and the demand for encore performances is far-reaching. We are thrilled to be able to add an additional US leg of the tour following the group’s international performances.”
