Join Us for Summertime Fun

Children playing, lawnmowers buzzing, ceiling fans cranking…yes, the sounds of summer are back. The kids are out of school and you’re wondering how you’re going to spend your summer vacation. Well, look no further because we have something fun for everyone here at the Frank Erwin Center.

The month of May will start and end with the Austin Wranglers. The season will wrap up at home on June 9 but before that, there will be plenty of time to root for your favorite AFL team on May 6, May 20 AND May 27. The team needs you down the stretch so come on out and make some noise!

The days are heating up but the Frank Erwin Center is cooling off with Disney On Ice presents Princess Wishes. With a little help from Tinker Bell and her magic pixie dust, the seven Disney princesses will transform the Frank Erwin Center into a magical land where dreams really do come true from May 10 – May 13. Don’t miss this collection of celebrated tales wonderfully told through artistic skating and acrobatics.

In June, we’re switching gears so get ready to laugh with George Lopez! “G-Lo,” the other famous Lopez, will be taking the stage on June 2. In addition to playing a loving family man on his hit sitcom, “The George Lopez Show,” George maintains an extremely active schedule as a stand-up comedian selling out shows coast to coast. In fact, his last show at the Frank Erwin Center was a sell-out so act fast to secure your tickets now!

If you’re looking for a great group outing, we’ve got it for you when boxing returns to the Frank Erwin Center on Saturday, June 16. The main event for the night will feature Austin’s own, Gilbert Vera who comes into the Texas Title Fight with a record of 8-0-1. Others on the card include newcomers Parke Davidson and S’Kati Katz who each sport a 1-0 record with technical knockouts in their debuts. Ladies and Gentlemen! Boys and Girls! The Greatest Show On Earth® returns to Austin June 27 – July 1. Check all realities at the door, because for this show you’ll embark on a Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® journey filled with CIRCUS-SIZED SPECTACLES! With the biggest changes the show has seen in 50 years, you have to see it to believe it!

Country music arrives in July with Keith Urban with special guest The Wreckers on Tuesday, July 3 followed up the next week with Martina McBride with special guest Little Big Town on Saturday, July 14. Talk about talent…EACH of these four acts is up for an Academy of Country Music award this month! Grab your hat and your boots and get on down to the Frank Erwin Center for these two sensational shows in July.
