Martina McBride
Best Live Act Comes to the Live Music Capital

Country music sensation, Martina McBride will be coming to the Frank Erwin Center for her 2007 tour on Saturday, July 14 at 7:30 p.m. She will be accompanied by the breakthrough band Little Big Town for a show that you won’t want to miss.
Joining her father’s band at the age of seven, McBride has been no stranger to making brilliant country music. With the release of her debut album The Time Has Come in 1992, McBride broke into the country music scene with her first big single “My Baby Loves Me.” Since then, she has continued to deliver chart-topping hits such as “Independence Day,” “This One’s For the Girls” and “Wild Angels.”
Throughout the years, McBride has managed to snag several awards and honors. She is a four-time Country Music Association Female Vocalist of the Year winner, three-time Academy of Country Music Female Vocalist of the Year winner and a Grammy Award nominee. McBride proved her stage presence is as strong as her voice when the Chicago Sun Times named her the “Best Live Act” in 2006. In January, she was even honored as a 2007 inductee into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame.
McBride has solo-produced her ninth album Waking Up Laughing which was released on April 3. The hot single “Anyway” quickly climbing the charts as her fastest rising single, is a promising peek at what McBride is sure to bring to the stage at the Frank Erwin Center.
Little Big Town is the vocal quartet of Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Roads, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook. Their latest album The Road to Here was certified gold and contains their big hits “Boondocks,” “As Good As Gone” and new single, “A Little More You.” They’ll team up with Martina McBride to give the audience at the Frank Erwin Center a taste of real country.
