Keith Urban: The Latest and Greatest
We are counting down to Keith Urban’s much anticipated arrival in Austin when he brings his “Love, Pain & the whole crazy World Tour” to the Frank Erwin Center on July 3. But it appears that touring is not the only project Keith Urban has on his plate at the moment, as he is busy releasing singles and racking up awards. Here’s an update on the latest news of our favorite Aussie country star.
Keith Urban has just released his latest single, “I Told You So,” from his Love, Pain & the whole crazy thing album. “The song is unique in its own right. ‘I Told You So’ started out with just a banjo and a drum machine – how traditional is that?” Urban recalls. “The song had this infectious Celtic sound. The lyric is a real stream of consciousness.” The song debuted at No. 33 on the country singles charts and is his third single from the Platinum selling album.
This album has clearly made a mark on the country music scene, as Keith Urban has been nominated for several awards in recent months. He was nominated for the CMT Awards Video of the Year and Male Video of the Year for his hit video “Once in a Lifetime.” He was also nominated for Top Male Vocalist at the 42nd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards.
Amid song releases and music awards, Keith Urban is still on tour, selling out venues worldwide. He has just completed a very successful run of dates in Germany and is currently touring in England to frenzied crowds. He will then travel to Australia for further production rehearsals for his arena tour.
