The Cheetah Girls

The Girls Behind the Cheetahs

The Cheetah Girls

So you’re a Cheetah Girls fan. You’ve seen all of their films and every episode of their TV show. You’ve bought all of their albums. You even wear Cheetah print daily in support of your favorite girl group. But do you really know who these girls are without their spots? In preparation for their January 5 performance at the Frank Erwin Center, let’s take a closer look at these talented teens...

Adrienne Bailon
Adrienne Bailon was born in Manhattan’s lower eastside to parents of Puerto Rican and Ecuadorian descent. She starred as “Chanel” on the Disney Channel Original Movie, The Cheetah Girls, and is now part of the multi-platinum pop and R&B girl group that was inspired by it. She is also part of the double platinum R&B/pop group 3LW.

Bailon is not only a rising music star, but an up and coming actress as well. In addition to her role in The Cheetah Girls, Bailon has a recurring role on Disney Channel’s hit series “That’s So Raven,” and a role in the Disney Channel Original Movie Buffalo Dreams. This spring Bailon co-stars in the MTV movie All You’ve Got.

Kiely Williams
Williams was born in Alexandria, Virginia, and spent her childhood learning the art of singing and producing music in her home where her mother, a manager of music artists, had a recording studio. In addition to being part of The Cheetah Girls group, she starred as “Aquanetta” in The Cheetah Girls movie.

Along with Bailon, Williams is also a member of 3LW, which earned two Lady of Soul Awards for “Best R&B/Soul Album for a Group” and “Best New R&B/Soul Band or Duo” in 2001. Among her many talents, Williams is also a gifted writer and is currently working on an advice book for teens.

Sabrina Bryan
Bryan is a native of Yorba Linda, California and made her acting debut in the television movie Mrs. Santa Claus with Angela Lansbury, appeared on “The Bold and the Beautiful,” and starred as “Dorinda” on Disney Channel’s Original Movie The Cheetah Girls.

Bryan is also a trained dancer and released a DVD, BYOU: The Hot New Dance Workout and an accompanying CD late last year. BYOU is a dance fitness program for girls that encourages them to be happy and healthy by combining pop and hip hop dance movement with strength and cardio training.
