February Fun at the Erwin Center!

To some, February may mean cupid, roses and fancy Valentine dinners but here at the Erwin Center we know our frequent patrons think differently. Yep, we know once the calendar flips to February you’re thinking Globetrotters, Sesame Street Liveand UT Men’s and Women’s Big 12 Basketball match-ups not to mention the many other new and exciting events our Erwin Center crew is working hard to bring your way.
Let’s start with the Harlem Globetrotters on Thursday, February 8 at 7 p.m. Practically everyone has fond childhood memories of the timeless tricks and comedy skits on the court but if you don’t, then here’s your chance. Celebrating their 81st consecutive season of touring North America, the World Famous Harlem Globetrotters are bringing their 2007 Nothing Like It World Tour to the Erwin Center.
Looking for an evening of faith and fellowship? Look no further as the Gaither Homecoming Give It Away Tour 2007 will be here Friday, February 9 at 7 p.m. Share your faith while experiencing the talents of Grammy Award winner Bill Gaither; Gospel Music Association Hall of Famer, Ben Speer; Dove Award winner, Lynda Randle, and award winning San Antonio native, Jessy Dixon plus many more.
Who doesn’t get all fuzzy inside when they think of Elmo, Grover and the rest of the adorable gang? Don’t forget to get your tickets now for Sesame Street Live “Elmo Makes Music” coming to The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center February 15-18. Elmo, The Count, Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Bert & Ernie and all their funny and furry friends are taking to the stage to share the magical world of music.
Get your horns up and keep them there as the Texas Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams are going to need your support down the stretch as they face Big 12 competition against OK State, Texas Tech and other conference foes throughout the month. Help support the Horns and cheer them on to victory!
And don’t sit down just yet. Get ready for March as the Austin Wranglers kick off their season at the Erwin Center on Sunday, March 4; Tyler Perry’s “What’s Done in the Dark” play comes to The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center on March 21; The “World Famous” Lipizzaner Stallions showcase their spectacular maneuvers on March 23; and Larry the Cable Guy finishes out the month on Saturday, March 31 with his hilarious “redneck”-style humor.
