Wranglers Open with Victory at Home

For the second consecutive year the Austin Wranglers opened an Arena Football League campaign at home against the Las Vegas Gladiators. Last season’s 64-46 victory at the Frank Erwin Center over the American Conference Western Division team propelled the Wranglers to a 10-6 regular season record and the franchise’s first berth in the AFL playoffs. The Wranglers are hoping for more of the same this season as Austin defeated Las Vegas 57-36 on March 4, 2007, at the Frank Erwin Center.

After two consecutive road games against National Conference Southern Division opponents in weeks two and three, the Wranglers return to the Frank Erwin Center in the fourth week of the season to host the Nashville Kats in a game that will mark the first time that Austin will play the Nashville squad co-owned by Tennessee Titans owner Bud Adams and country music star Tim McGraw.

Austin Wranglers fans will see some high-caliber football during the 2007
season as the Wranglers host five teams that made the AFL playoffs last season – the Utah Blaze, Philadelphia Soul, Nashville Kats, Georgia Force and Orlando Predators.
