Frank Erwin Center Flies Through the Fall with Concerts, Comedy



The time has finally come for the Top 10 “American Idols” to grace the Frank Erwin Center stage! All of your favorite performers, from crooner Taylor Hicks to rocker Chris Daughtry, will blow you away with their tremendous talent. Coming Sunday, October 15, Blue Man Group will shake up the stage with their brand-new touring act, HOW TO BE A MEGASTAR TOUR 2.0. This incredible concert will rely on Blue Man Group’s core mantra of performing outside the box, quite literally; Blue Man Group works outside traditional entertainment parameters by breaking the “fourth wall” and communicating directly with audience members. Just a few days later, we welcome Carlos Mencia, who is taking the stage at The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center with his Punisher Tour. Mencia continues to push buttons with his liberally offensive comedy on Friday, October 20.

Grammy-winning trio Rascal Flatts will also be performing at the Erwin Center during their tour promoting the new hit CD Me and My Gang. Come out on Thursday, October 26 and see in person these incredible musicians that continually top the country music charts!

The music of Mexico will course through the arena on Wednesday, November 8 when The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center and the UT Performing Arts Center present An Evening with Juan Gabriel. Gabriel is one of the most revered singer/songwriters in Mexico and all of the Spanish-speaking world.

And finally, on their second-to-last stop before the acclaimed “Accidents and Accusations” tour ends, Texas trio the Dixie Chicks will perform at the Erwin Center for their rescheduled appearance on Monday, December 4.
