
What’s better than Austin on a beautiful spring day? Being at the Urban Music Festival IN Austin on a beautiful spring day! Imagine strolling on the banks of Town Lake at Auditorium Shores, as families come to listen to soulful music and play for the day. Be sure not to miss out on the Urban Music Festival, coming to town Saturday, April 8 from 11AM to 10PM.
The festival has an ever-growing list of remarkable
artists planning to perform for the day. Thus far the
list includes:
George Johnson of Brothers Johnson, Ray Parker Jr., Cherelle,
Alexander O’Neal, Rodney “Sir Nose” Trotter
of Parliament Funkadelic, Chaka Khan, Vincent and Reggie
Calloway of Midnight Star, Adina Howard, and Michael
Henderson of The Bass Players Ball.
As you are walking around in between sets there will be a variety of activities perfectly suited for the whole family. For kids there will be a carnival, face painting, games, balloon artists, a Black Hawk Helicopter on display and much more!
The festival will also benefit the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas and is sponsored by Dell Computers, UT Athletics and The City of Austin.
