March Your Way Into the Frank Erwin Center

March is most definitely marching forward at the Frank Erwin Center. When we say we have something fun for everyone, we’re not kidding. Read on!

The young and upcoming basketball stars across the state will take over our court the first two weeks of March when the Boys and Girls UIL Basketball Championships are battled out at the Frank Erwin Center. The Girls UIL games are scheduled for March 2 – 4 and the Boys UIL games will be played March 9-11. Tickets are on sale, so if you want to see some of Texas’ up-and-coming ball players, now is your chance.

The Austin Wranglers have the week of March 12 bookended with two games – on March 12 they’re set to slay the New York Dragons, and on March 18 they’ll be breaking up the Kansas City Brigade. Individual tickets, season tickets and partial season tickets are available.

On March 24 Trent Reznor, also known as Nine Inch Nails, will bring all the grating guitars, driving drum beats, and scathing samples that have helped him gain fame to his name. Tickets are still available for this show, but be warned! There are not that many left, so if you want to feel the angst, you might want to get on line, on the phone or get yourself to a ticket outlet as soon as you can.

After Reznor kicks off the weekend on Friday with an industrial bang, Kirk Franklin and special guest Mary Mary bring their soulful sounds to The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center Sunday, March 26. The saying ‘easy like Sunday’ most definitely applies here.

After a full work or school week, it’ll be time to kick up your heels the following Friday, March 31. And who better to get country fans to whoop and holler than Kenny Chesney? The warning about limited tickets applies here as well – Chesney is a huge name in country music, so if you want to see the man who makes cowgirls swoon, get your tickets now.

George Lopez and his special guest, comedian Bryan Kellen, will have fans in stitches when they perform their stand-ups at the Frank Erwin Center on Friday, April 28. Lopez sold out last time he performed here two years ago. Tickets for this show are still on sale.

Mark your calendars now for Comedy in the Fast Lane featuring Katt Williams and J. Anthony Brown with special guests Juan Villareal and Gary Owen. These guys are set to ham it up for your entertainment Friday, April 7. You can get your tickets now.

Last but not least, Disney on IceSM will turn the Frank Erwin Center into an ice skating rink with its Broadway-scale production of Disney presents Pixar’s The Incredibles in a Magic Kingdom Adventure May 10-14. Find out more about the pre-sale and public on-sale for this event in this month’s article!

So you see, we have plenty to keep us and you busy for the entire month of March.

We hope to see you soon.
