Full Throttle Action Returns - Chuck Norris’ World Combat League Inaugural Season Championship

Chuck Norris’ World Combat League

Chuck Norris Presents World Combat League is geared up to return to the Frank Erwin Center for the Inaugural Season National Championship on January 20! The action-packed evening will feature four of the WCL top teams, culled from a knock-out filled season of full-throttle martial arts action.

The World Combat League’s (WCL) popularity is exploding, with broadcast of the league's first season debuting on the Versus Television, formerly the Outdoor Life Network, starting this December. Conceived of by Chuck Norris, his dream for the WCL is now a reality. “Our goal with the WCL is to bring together the world’s most skilled martial arts experts by region and to provide sports fans with an unmatched level of fighting action in every second of each round of every team contest.”
Four teams are set to compete for the championship: Miami Force vs. Houston Enforcers and Philadelphia Fire vs. Los Angeles Stars. Fighters are rewarded for punching, kicking, and kneeing, but are penalized for stalling and passivity. There are currently 8 teams across the United States. The LA vs. Philly contest will bring the night’s most anticipated contest: a battle of two undefeated professionals – Raymond Daniels and Steven  Thompson – that are considered the most skilled and devastating in their class, utilizing lethal combinations of kickboxing, karate and muay thai techniques.

If you’re involved in martial arts, a fan of martial arts, or just want to catch some “full throttle action,” make your way to the Frank Erwin Center on January 20 and watch the turf wars heat up Austin! Further information on the WCL is available at worldcombatleague.com.
