Kelsey Carpenter
All-Central Region and All-Big 12 forward Kelsey Carpenter (Allen, Texas) enters her junior
season after tying for the 2005 team lead in scoring with six goals and four assists for 16

Kasey Moore
Sophomore defender Kasey Moore from Mission Viejo, California, is a member of the 2006 U.S. Under-20 National Team players’ pool along with fellow Longhorn sophomores defender Stephanie Logterman and goalkeeper Dianna Pfenniger. Moore, an All-Central Region and 2005 Big 12 Rookie of the Year, returns to the Longhorns lineup after earning five goals and one assist.

Looking to continue a run of five straight NCAA Tournament berths, The University of Texas women’s soccer team will swing into action in 2006 during the month of August at Mike A. Myers Stadium. Under the direction of eighth-year head coach Chris Petrucelli, the Longhorns will return 10 of their 11 starters from last year’s squad which posted an 11-9-1 overall record and look to build off a string of six consecutive 10-win seasons. Headlining the roster will be six seniors, including Amy Burlingham, as well as the club’s top six scorers from 2005 and four All-Big 12 performers in Kelsey Carpenter, Caitlin Kennedy, Stephanie Logterman and Kasey Moore.

After a home exhibition match on Friday, Aug. 18 at 7 p.m. against UT-San Antonio, the Horns kick off the 13th season of UT women’s soccer with a road contest at Auburn on Friday, Aug. 25. Amy Burlingham Senior forward Amy Burlingham (Costa Mesa, Calif.) finished last year third in scoring (five goals, three assists, 13 points). A standout student-athlete, she has been honored as a member of the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VI Team and the Scholar All-South Region Team.
