Kid Rock Tour Trucks Into Austin

He’s a “Cowboy” baby! No matter if you love him or love to hate him; Kid Rock has made some serious headway from his start on the streets of Detroit. Never one to go less than all the way, Kid Rock and the Twisted Brown Trucker Band are steamrolling their new album Live Trucker through the states and are set to roll into The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center on May 4 at 8PM.

Kid Rock shot to superstardom in 1998 with the release of his fourth full-length album, Devil Without A Cause which managed to go platinum 11 times in the US! Since Devil Without A Cause hit mainstream, the name Kid Rock has become synonymous with a large variety of music. In addition to the three (Live Trucker makes four) albums he has put out, Kid Rock has brushed shoulders with some of the greats in the music industry from country to rap to soulful artists; Rock is definitely not limiting himself.

Live Trucker, released earlier this year, contains 13 tracks that were recorded live between 2000 and 2004 at various venues in and around Kid Rock’s native Detroit. The album features performances from past Trucker members Uncle Kracker, the late Joe C, and features Gretchen Wilson as Rock’s counterpart in the hit song “Picture.” According to Rock, a live album is about more than just slapping together a bunch of concert tracks, “it’s got to be something that takes you to a different place than the original songs that you really liked.”

Accompanying Rock on the tour are the members of the Twisted Brown Trucker Band. Band members include Jimmie Bones, Stefanie Eulinberg, Aaron Julison, Jason Krause, Kenny Tudrick and DJ Dime. The group was hand picked by Kid Rock himself and has been praised by Metallica’s drummer, Lars Ulrich, for their ability to play a wide variety of music.
