April is Blooming with Events

Come out to the Frank Erwin Center this month as our calendar continues to flourish with events. Just like spring, cool new things are always popping up so be sure to stay tuned in!

First up on the calendar, Comedy in the Fast Lane on April 7 featuring Katt Williams and J. Anthony Brown with special guests Juan Villareal and Gary Owen. These four funnymen have toured the country separately and are joining forces in Austin to bring down the house. Tickets are on sale now, don’t miss out!

The Austin Wranglers, Austin’s own arena football team, have three exciting games lined up at home for this month. The team is set to play the Georgia Force on April 9; storm the Tampa Bay Storm on April 15; and annihilate the Columbus Destroyers on April 29. Tickets are available for individual games, season tickets and partial season tickets.

The Longhorn Band, featuring the Jazz Ensemble, UT Drum Line, the color guard, and the famous “Show Band of the Southwest,” the Longhorn Marching Band will be at the Erwin Center April 22 for their annual spring Band-O-Rama concert. Tickets for the show are FREE and can to be picked up at the Frank Erwin Center or the UT Performing Arts Center box office starting Monday, April 3.

George Lopez wants to know “Who Told You That?” when he arrives at the Erwin Center with special guest Bryan Kellen on April 28. Lopez is famous for his stand-up, hit TV show and his philanthropy—this is one act you certainly don’t want to miss! Tickets are on sale now.

Get ready to ROCK when Kid Rock takes the stage May 4. This bad boy from Detroit has been touring the country with the Twisted Brown Trucker Band. The tour is to promote Rock’s newest album, Live Trucker, a compilation of live shows from the past few years. Tickets are on sale now for this rockin’ concert!

For a complete change of pace, Disney On Ice^SM will join the Erwin Center for a few days the next week as Disney presents Pixar’s The Incredibles in a Magic Kingdom Adventure. This Broadway-scale performance is set to dazzle friends and families alike May 10-14 with a total of 7 shows! Tickets are on sale now for this amazing event!
