NEIGHBORS IN NEED AUSTIN’S KATRINA RELIEF
CONCERT AT THE FRANK ERWIN CENTER
Neighbors in Need is a benefit concert to help people from the Gulf Coast region who were forced out of their homes, schools and jobs due to Hurricane Katrina.
All proceeds from the concert will go to the Red Cross Katrina Relief effort. The concert will be held at the Frank Erwin Center on Wednesday, September 21st at 7PM.
The superstar lineup so far includes: Willie Nelson, Ray Price,
Jimmie Vaughan, Eric Johnson, Patti Griffin, The Flatlanders and Bob Schneider. Keep checking the Frank Erwin Center Web site for updates about additional performers.
The University of Texas, the Frank Erwin Center, Clifford Antone, Direct Events and representatives from Mayor Will Wynn’s office are working together to put on this benefit concert.
According to Associate Athletics Director John Graham, “Our mission at the University and the Frank Erwin Center is facilitating the opportunity for the Austin community to help our neighbors in need.”
