September in Austin – Summer or Fall? It’s still hot, most of the leaves around here don’t turn and the sno cone stands are still open – but students are back in school. No matter the season, the Erwin Center always has some event or concert on its calendar. This month two highly recognized bands will bring their brand of rock to the Erwin Center. The Foo Fighters and Weezer will be here Wednesday, September 14. Yes, it may be a ‘school night’, but it’s not every night that you go to a concert where both bands are headlining.
If you’re feeling rowdy, come on out to see the Superstars of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) put each other in their places at SmackDown Live on Saturday, October 1. The Superstars will be strutting down ramps and into the ring, taking over our microphones and tossing around the competition. Feeling a little more romantic than you are rowdy? Legendary Latin singer, Luis Miguel, is going to be performing here Friday, November 4. Tickets are already on sale for this show, and it promises to be a hot ticket - Miguel is a singer and performer of international fame. Everyone knows fall in Texas means sports. In anticipation of the Longhorn’s impending bout with OU at the Cotton Bowl this year, perhaps fans would like to relive the Texas vs. Michigan conquest that was the Rose Bowl last year! Read more about how you can get a copy of the Rose Bowl DVD inside this issue.
