Spring Fever at the Frank Erwin Center

Our events calendar has been jam-packed since January and we’re already making plans for fall! In the meantime, we’ve got high school commencements, college graduations and a football game to keep us busy, busy, busy.

The Wranglers will have their last home game on May 7th against the Orlando Predators – more correctly named the Orlando Prey as the Wranglers seek vengeance for an early season loss against them. We hope they’ll be celebrating a win the next day at the Erwin Center as they throw their end-of-season bash, Fan Fiesta. This is their way of saying ‘thank you’ to all their season ticket holders. There will be merchandise give-aways, autograph signings, a special Lady Wranglers dance performance, chalk talks and much more for their devoted hometown fans.

While the Wranglers are busy partying, we’re going to busy mapping out our summer and fall plans. The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Circus will be bringing the 134th edition of The Greatest Show on Earth® to the Frank Erwin Center in August and tickets will be going on sale soon. Make sure you keep reading Applause to see if there’s any information about advance ticket sales!

Keep in mind, we’re not the only ones who can hold events here. You can book our multi-purpose spaces for your own events! This venue is incredibly versatile – we have conference rooms, a reception hall, an arena that can seat up to 18,000 people or a theatre set-up that can seat 5,000-7,000 people. We’ll have more information about booking private events in the June issue of Applause. Of course, you can always go to our Web site (uterwincenter.com) if you’re interested in finding out how you can book a space to hold a party for 18,000 of your closest friends (and if you only have 18, they should fit nicely in one of our multi-purpose rooms!)

Hope you’re all enjoying the long days and beautiful weather. We sure are!
