Hot Tickets In July!

July is going to be a hot month, indeed. Kelly Clarkson, the original American Idol, is coming to Austin. Clarkson will perform at The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center Thursday, July 7. This native Texan was the first winner from the incredibly popular TV show, beating out 10,000 other aspiring singers. Along with the title, Clarkson was also given the chance at a career in recording and touring, and she’s running with it. Now, nearly three years after her win, she’s proving her mettle as a performer and recording artist. Clarkson is the top-selling female artist of the year to date, and has had two singles hit the Top 10 on Billboard’s Pop 100 chart. She’ll be performing songs off her double-platinum sophomore album, Breakaway. Tickets to see Kelly Clarkson are on sale now. If you’re a true Kelly or AI fan, you’re all but required to come out to the show.

Operations at the Erwin Center in August will be a flurry of activity, as producing a three-ring circus is no easy feat! The 134th Edition of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® is coming to town and only a venue as large as the Erwin Center could contain The Greatest Show On Earth®! August is a busy month for a lot of people, so mark your calendars now – the circus will be here August 17-21 and tickets go on sale July 16.
