LOOK what the New Year is bringing to the UT Performing Arts Center...

Neville Brothers & Angelique Kidjo (Tuesday, February 1 at 8PM)
Mardi Gras comes alive in Austin! Join the Neville Brothers, New Orleans' First Family of Funk, and special guest Angelique Kidjo, one of the most electrifying African artists on the world music scene, for an unforgettable night of rhythm and soul. Hot on the heels of releasing their first album in five years, Walkin’ in the Shadow of Life, the Nevilles (and sons) bring their unmistakable sound to the UT Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, February 1 in Bass Concert Hall.

Brazilian Guitar Quartet (Saturday, January 15 at 8PM)
Four of Brazil's greatest guitar virtuosos join forces to create an ensemble their countrymen call the "Dream Team.” Since their U.S. debut in 2000, BGQ has sold out concert halls and wowed audiences from coast to coast. This world-class quartet performs innovative acoustic works blending American Jazz, French impressionism and African rhythms to create a distinctively Brazilian sound. Enjoy classical music played with seductive beauty on Saturday, January 15 in Bates Recital Hall.

Poncho Sanchez (Saturday, January 29 at 8PM)
The UT Performing Arts Center welcomes the “new king of Latin jazz” – Jazz Times. Poncho Sanchez is a native Texan who learned from the masters, playing alongside Cal Tjader, Claire Fisher and Mongo Santamaria. As a bandleader, Sanchez has unswervingly preserved a bedrock style of Afro-Cuban Latin jazz pioneered a half century ago by his heroes, while infusing his own fresh interpretations. “Sanchez is to Latin jazz what Basie was to blues-based swing” – Chicago Tribune. Experience the lively, sultry, pure hip-shaking rhythm of Grammy Award-winner Poncho Sanchez and his world famous congas on Saturday, January 29 in Hogg Auditorium.

Little Shop of Horrors (Wed.-Sun., February 9-13)
Just in time for Valentines Day! The heart-pounding musical, Little Shop of Horrors is coming to the UT Performing Arts Center with an all new production. It’s everybody’s favorite tale of boy-meets-girl, girl-meets-plant, plant-eats-world that recently took New York City by storm. Little Shop of Horrors is a hilarious musical masterpiece that promises a few surprises! Join Seymour, Audrey II and the gang on Wednesday, February 9 - Sunday, February 13 in Bass Concert Hall.

Tickets can be purchased on-line at www.utpac.org, by phone at 477-6060 or at the ticket offices at Frank Erwin Center, Bass Concert Hall and H-E-B stores.
