Eric Johnson with Special Guest Adrian Belew (August 27 at 8PM)
Just added! Hot on the heels of his latest release, Bloom, Austin guitar legend Eric Johnson rocks the UT Performing Arts Center’s Hogg Auditorium with special guest Adrian Belew. Johnson’s brilliance has earned him comparisons with such greats as Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. As fellow guitarist Steve Vai observes, “Eric has more colorful tone in his fingers than Van Gogh had on his palette.”
ENNIO (September 6-11)
Austin has never seen anything like it— until now! ENNIO, the one-man, all-star living cartoon, kicks off the UT PAC’s new season with a bang! Brilliantly hilarious and wildly entertaining, this solo performance features a whirlwind of ingenious paper costumes and split second transformations. Backed by an eclectic soundtrack, ENNIO magically morphs into parodies of our favorite cultural icons in a show that is laugh-out-loud funny! Ennio will be performing at the B. Iden Payne Theatre.
Miró Quartet (September 8 at 8PM)
Currently holder of the eminent Cleveland Quartet Award, the Miró Quartet has dazzled listeners around the world. Increasingly recognized as one of America’s brightest and most exciting young chamber groups, the Miró celebrates its 10th anniversary with a highly anticipated performance at the UT Performing Arts Center’s Bates Recital Hall. “There is almost nothing one would want from a string quartet that the Miró can’t do” — Washington Post.
CHICAGO (September 20-25)
Adultery and murder have never been so entertaining! It all started with a Broadway hit, 6 Tonys, 6 Oscars, and thousands of standing ovations.
