Support the Success of All UT Student-Athletes
by Joining the Longhorn Foundation Today
As the principal fundraising arm of UT Men’s and Women’s Athletics, the Longhorn Foundation is made up of enthusiastic and loyal UT supporters whose generous contributions make UT’s successful sports programs possible.
Founded in 1993, the Longhorn Foundation supports scholarships, academic services, sports medicine operations, and student-athlete facilities used for study, nutrition, and strength and conditioning.
Longhorn Foundation contributions become an integral part of UT Athletics’ many accomplishments. During the most recent season, successes included:
- 2 national championships (baseball and women’s track & field)
- 50 All-Americans
- 4 Big 12 championships (women’s tennis, women’s track & field, men’s and women’s swimming & diving)
- Derrick Johnson (football) and Cat Osterman (softball) were named Big 12 Athletes of the Year. No other Big 12 school has won both awards the same year. Osterman earned the honor for the second time in 3 years.
- A second place finish in the Division I Sports Academy Directors’ Cup competition
UT was the only NCAA program this year to have its football team play in a bowl, its men’s and women’s basketball teams reach the NCAA tournament, and its baseball and softball teams advance to the College World Series.
UT student-athletes aren’t the only ones who benefit from the Longhorn Foundation. More than 11,000 Longhorn Foundation members receive ticket and seat location priorities for football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, and softball games. Members also enjoy hospitality area access and parking privileges at athletics events, invitations to athletics functions and banquets, and departmental communications and e-mails.
Consistent with most charitable contributions, a large portion of Longhorn Foundation donations are tax deductible. For more information or to join the Longhorn Foundation, visit www.TexasSports.com and click on the Longhorn Foundation link, or call 512-471-4339.
