I was told that gobble, gobble is the sound turkeys make, so hopefully I’m right or now you think I am crazy. Anyway, welcome to the November issue of Applause. This season we have much more to be thankful for than just turkey. The UT Women’s Basketball team is bringing basketball thrills when they take on fellow powerhouse program Tennessee Thanksgiving night here at the Erwin Center. So scarf down your dinner and dessert and then join me for the big game!

As usual, we are also presenting some of the biggest events in central Texas, including our featured event for this month, Austin’s Own Rock Fest featuring Scorpions, Tesla, UFO, and The Keith Emerson Band. The night is going to be filled with so much rock music that we are starting the concert at 6PM to make sure we can fit it all in!

November also brings us folk legends Peter, Paul and Mary on November 4 and the action-packed, drama-filled WWE Monday Night Raw on November 8. On the not so distant horizon is Trans-Siberian Orchestra, December 11 and The Harlem Globetrotters, February 10. And just announced… the one and only Dolly Parton on December 2.
