Globetrotters Bounce Into Austin

The world renowned Harlem Globetrotters will have the Frank Erwin Center on its feet as they make a stop in Austin Thursday, February 5. The Globetrotters are like none other in basketball - the mix of NBA-type talent along with a comedic and crowd-involving approach to the game creates an unforgettable night of entertainment for all ages.

The Globetrotters received the chance to showcase their unique talent earlier this year on the Fall College Tour. With eight scheduled games against some of the country’s premier college basketball programs, the Globetrotters proved themselves with an overall record of 7-1. The victories included convincing double-digit wins against pre-season top 10 Michigan State and last years Division I-A champions, the Syracuse Orangemen.

In addition to mesmerizing crowds on the court, the Harlem Globetrotters’ impact can be felt in the community. Using their image as the most liked and recognized team in the world, the Globetrotters have raised over $10 million for various charities in the last decade. Their new “Adopt a School” program is committed to providing financial assistance to schools for improved education. Globetrotter owner Mannie Jackson said, “I am grateful as the owner of the Harlem Globetrotters I have been able to put financial and other resources behind education.”

Don’t miss your chance to see the one and only Harlem Globetrotters Thursday, February 5. Following the game, the Globetrotters will sign autographs for the fans.
