“Why You Crying” Tour Brings Tears of Laughter

As one of the premier comedic talents in the entertainment industry, George Lopez is a multi-talented phenomenon. Lopez is the co-creator, writer, producer and star of the ABC and Warner Brothers Television smash sitcom, “George Lopez.” Recently renewed for a second full season, “Lopez” consistently scores big-time ratings in its time-slot each week.

Actively maintaining his stand-up schedule with filming, Lopez has sold out virtually every top comedy club in the nation and headlined concerts at prestigious venues such as the ARCO Arena in Sacramento and the Shoreline Amphitheater in San Francisco. Lopez can also be seen in several major motion pictures including “Real Women Have Curves,” “Fidel,” and “Frank McKluskey, C.I.”

A native of Los Angeles, Lopez devotes much of his time to community causes, serving as a spokesperson for high-profile charities and foundations such as the Los Angeles Police Department’s Stop the Violence Program. In addition, he has received the National Hispanic Media’s Coalition Impact Award, the Manny Mota Foundation Community Spirit Award and was named Honorary Mayor of Los Angeles for his extensive fundraising efforts benefiting earthquake victims in El Salvador and Guatemala.

Random Wristband Policy in Effect on First Day of Ticket Sales: Numbered wristbands to be distributed for a place in line on the first day of sales beginning Wednesday, March 31 at 9AM through Thursday, April 1 until 6PM at the Frank Erwin Center and at all H-E-B stores in Austin and surrounding areas where Texas Box Office outlets are located. The beginning of the line will be randomly determined on Friday, April 2 before tickets go on sale. Wristbands guarantee a place in line, but do not guarantee tickets.
