Job Description - Duties include scanning tickets, directing guests, answering questions for guests and seating guests. Long periods of standing, walking up and down stairs, working with heights and working in elevators are all possibilities with this job. Event Staff ushers work at the Frank Erwin Center, Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium and Mike A. Myers Stadium and Soccer Field.
Preferred Job Qualifications - Personable and extraordinary customer service with 100% attention to guest safety is required.

Job Description - The Marketing department of the Frank Erwin Center is in need of an intern to begin work in as soon as possible. We are responsible for marketing all aspects of professional entertainment public-ticketed events held at the Frank Erwin Center. This includes buying advertising (electronic, print, outdoor), promoting events with appropriate radio and television stations and print publications, generating publicity for upcoming events and writing press releases sent to the local media, developing group ticket sales for family shows and special events, creating advertising and promotional pieces for upcoming events, sponsorship fulfillment, and publishing and selling advertising on our blog, Applause. We are also responsible for game day event coordination for UT Men's and Women's Basketball.
Job Qualifications - A responsible student seeking a degree in communications, marketing, advertising or other related field. Must be able to work approximately 13-17 hours per week Monday through Friday, and occasional evenings, weekends and holidays and commit to stay until December 31, 2014. Must have a Texas Driver's License. Computer skills needed include Excel, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and FileMaker Pro. Proficient in PR style writing and AP style is preferred. This internship can be used for class credit. This position is available as soon as possible and can end at the conclusion of the second Fall semester or can be extended indefinitely based on both party’s needs.
